Works by Wes Taylor and Chitra Gopalakrishnan
June 23 – July 23, 2011
Presented in conjunction with the Allied Media Conference, Cranbrook Academy of Art graduates Wesley Taylor and Chitra Gopalakrishnan exhibit a selection of works that reflect upon the complexities within social systems and behavioral patterns.
The artists use visual perception to explore the ways in which people interact with each other, with visual cues that straddle the line between positive and negative perceptions. Dual ideas of attraction/repulsion and simplicity/complexity play a starring role in this two-person exhibit which includes digital prints, drawings, screen prints and installation.
