Simone DeSousa EDITION in collaboration with Eugenie is pleased to present Form&Seek’s project Can I come out now?, a patio installation and exhibition presenting new pieces from the series Flow In.

In our fourth year of participation in the Detroit Month of Design, EDITION, now in partnership with Eugenie, is excited to once more invite Detroit-based designers to activate the patio as a public space to engage community and facilitate encounters with contemporary art and design. Additional new work and objects by Form&Seek will also be presented inside the EDITION space in conjunction with the installation.

Flow In is a versatile furniture collection that opens a platform to rest and leisure. The multi-height surfaces can be configured in countless ways depending on the user’s needs,and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Detroit-based Turkish-born Bilge Nur Saltik’s practice, Form&Seek, was established in 2013, shortly after she received her master’s degree in Product Design from the Royal College of Art in London.  Nur’s intent is to incorporate culture with contemporary design. Pairing the old with the new, she works with traditional craftsmen–tapping into their age-old techniques and knowledge–and introduces them to new materials and fabrication processes.
