Alissa Lamarre

Jewelry

Sterling silver, 14k gf

Alissa has been a practicing metalsmith for nine years, with her primary focus in jewelry and small objects. Her artistic interest in drawing, illustration, and the exploration of material language were informed by a childhood living and working alongside her family of makers. Her work focuses on the various manifestations of heritage and navigation and uses a spectrum of materials in addition to metal. Alissa is a meticulous maker who has shown her work nationally and internationally, including, most recently, a solo exhibition at Brooklyn Metalworks in New York. She has been teaching classes at Fritz and Friends Jewelry Studio since Fall of 2013. Alissa received her BFA from Western Michigan University, and her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
